CEO DAVID MCCREIGHT DEPARTS FROM ANTHROPOLOGIE GROUP

Something new is changing in the industry of fashion and lifestyle. After six long and successful years in the company, CEO David McCreight, of Anthropologie Group will exit the company. McCreights last day with the brand will b on April 27th. In his replace, Hillary Super and Andrew Carnie will lead together in a joint effort. McCreight had a very successful run with Anthropolgie. During his time he opened up 60 stores, and grew revenue by over 35%. The future looks bright for Anthropologie Group , especially under the new leadership. The CEO of URBN said "Both Hillary and Andrew are strong leaders and excellent merchants with a solid understanding of the Anthropologie customer," he said. "Anthropologie Group's current business is particularly robust, and we are excited about both the near and longer-term opportunities for growth under their leadership." ADAPTIVE CLOTHING CASE STUDY

Putting the customer first is the name of the game, and Adaptive Clothing is doing exactly that. Adaptive Clothing is an apparel company designed specifically for individuals who faced difficulties regarding mobility, sensory and cognitive challenges. Some of these apparel accommodations include things like, tagless clothing, extra soft material and weighted vests. Camila Chiriboga is a designer for adaptive clothing who studied principles of design for special needs and user centered design at Open Style Lab at Parsons School of Design. Chiriboga spent months at an adapted learning environment in New York called Visions at Selis Manor , where she was better able to understand the needs for the adaptive clothing. She was able to gain a list a 8 guidelines that designers must follow and designing clothing for Adaptive Clothing. According to the U.S. Census Bureau more than 40 million americans have some disability. Though theres a huge consumer market for adaptive clothing, it has just barely been tapped into.
